Vital and Mee Chiet combating dengue fever in Kampong Speu
Kampung Speu – Vital Premium Water and Mee Chiet have joined with Kampong Speu Provincial Health Department in the fight against dengue fever and chikungunya fever by educating and putting albatross in the jars for villagers in Oral district, Kampong Speu province on August 7, 2020.
In this event, the companies also donated charitable items to 100 families. Each family received a mosquito net, a case of Vital Premium Water, a case of Mee Chiet instant noodle, 6 containers of canned sardine, and 40,000 Riels in cash.
Tech Menh, General Manager of Vital and Mee Chiet said “We are collaborating with Kampong Speu Provincial Health Department to prevent the spread of dengue fever, chikungunya fever and other diseases caused by tiger mosquitoes. Along with the protection of COVID-19, we also need to be alert of other diseases that can affect people of all ages and can be life-threatening”
“Today’s participation expresses the active participation of Vital and Mee Chiet in social activities, especially in the field of health,” he said.
This is not the first time that Vital and Mee Chiet have participated in the health sector. By far, both companies have donated to Kuntha Bopha Hospital and recently donated 10 tons of rice to Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap. Moreover, the companies had also participated in the healthcare project at Coconut School in Kirirom, Kampung Speu province.

Long Bonareth, Deputy Governor of Kampong Speu Province, praised Vital and Mee Chiet for donating charitable items to 100 families and helping to prevent the spread of dengue fever in the province. She also called on the people to protect themselves from mosquitoes and together to eliminate the sources of tiger mosquitoes by putting albatross in the jars and removing their habitats.
